Frank's Story

"Updated 3/1/22. I was a Tax Collector in Bergen County for 25 years. Originally wanted to be a Fireman. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were confused when I became a Banker. A Real Estate Broker and a Tax Collector. Divorced but in a relationship, Still into music & old movies. Still have an odd sense of humor. I want to visit all the states in the US; I plan my vacations in ways that I get to stay over in as many as possible on each trip. I’ve been around the country quite a bit. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, The Alamo, The Great Lakes, 43 of the lower 48, Canada and in so many places ran into people I knew or knew someone I knew or was related to. I find things to talk about with total strangers & find out they are not as strange as they appear. I would talk to a wall as long as I could get a response, an echo will do . When I was about 8, an older cousin took me on the Roller Coaster, the Parachute Jump and the Steeplechase at Coney Island. My mother wanted to kill him she was so ticked off Was looking forward to 50th Reunion it never happened There was a push for one in 2020, but we know what happened with that. I keep in touch with a few of my classmates & friends. Life changes, people move on, Some of them (us) get lost in the shuffle. I like Crosswords & Sudokus, Jigsaw Puzzles and I sometimes build Model Ships. I also like to make silly webcam videos & put them on YouTube. My real hero is Jesus Christ. 'Nuff said. Making my little Katie Laugh. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a 3 car garage. My dream home would be spacious... There is not enough space to write what I have learned, And what I still need to learn would take a lot more than that. The most important thing I learned is that most of what I learned was little better than worthless If I won $100 million, I'd give most of it to my loyal friends, then spend the rest on...Expand for more
family, and vacations. My best friend would tell you I'm a levelheaded guy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a weirdo. I dress casualty. I hate Ties and have not worn a white shirt in 20 years. Bright colors, cowboy hats, boots. In 10 years, I hope to be still alive & kicking. I'm going to try getting there by avoiding prepared foods. I'll make my own food thanks. Having worked in several restaurants, I avoid them if possible, Especially the burger & chicken chains. Even the fancy places have lower paid employees who don't give a rip except getting paid & going home. My first job was at a restaurant when I was 12, where I got paid 1.00 Hr. + tips to wait on tables. What I remember most about it is I got to hang out with the cook when it was slow. & I learned a lot about cooking Put in my retirement papers in January 2020 & As of April 1st of that year, I was free Call me an April Fool if you will. Got back to finishing a cookbook I started a few years ago. Adding pictures of my work. Don't know if I have a chance of publishing, there are so many out there. but I'm damn good & have hosted many parties where I made all the food for 25 -30 people in my home.. Started a daily blog to entertain a couple of friends who were sentenced to working at home due to the lockdowns; basically started sending them a cartoon or two with sarcastic or comical comments to cheer them up. It sucks being home alone & still having to do an office job. You need the interaction with other employees & customers to keep you from going stir-crazy and/or growing lazy. It grew to including Historical events & Birthdays & now has up to 20 Toons a day & I send it to a bunch of folks. Nursing a broken arm/shoulder right now & just do the Toons now as typing is difficult with one hand. Would like to move somewhere warmer than New Jersey. Birthday: October 07 Edit Location: Bergen County, NJ Add
